Dispelling the Darkness of Suffering

Focussed on ‘Dispelling the Darkness of Suffering’, Karma Thinley Rinpoche's commentary on the famous Seven Point Lo-Jong teaching by Geshe Chekawa.
The monthly study sessions will combine study with practice, specifically focusing on the special 'sending and taking' (tong-len) practice that is at the core of the lo-jong approach.
Discriminating the Three Vows

The Four Buddha Days

Four saturdays in the year
The Tibetan Buddhist calendar has four main days in the year. These commemorate events in the life of the Buddha. It is said that the merit from dharma practice done on these days is multiplied many millions of times.
At Dechen London we recite the praise of the Twelve Deeds of Lord Buddha and perform the ritual practice of the Sixteen Arhats to celebrate these events on the nearest Saturday in the calendar. Anyone is welcome to sit in on Buddha days, even if you have not taken refuge.
Chenrezik - the benefit of beings that pervades space

As the embodiment of the compassionate energy of the Buddhas, Chenrezik is one of the most widespread meditation practices in vajrayana Buddhism.
Tangton Gyalpo’s famous sadhana is practiced every Sunday at Dechen London and is open to all. If you are not a regular please let us know you will be coming by booking here.
