Dechen London: Sakya Buddhist Centre

Sakya Buddhist Centre is located in West London and follows the Sakya tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. The Centre provides meditation classes, weekly group meditation practice and hosts Buddhist teachings by visiting lamas.

Dechen London is also an exciting event space and a unique store offering specialist books and exclusive prints not available elsewhere in London. It’s an oasis of calm in the vibrant, bustling area of Notting Hill; an ideal place to have a coffee, relax and learn to read and meditate the traditional way, based on literature of tried and tested methods of calming the mind.

Meditation Classes

Weekly Buddhism and Meditation classes are on Wednesdays at 6.30pm, Thursdays at 11am and Saturday at 10.30am and 11.30am. Each class has a different format so check our events pages for details.

All are welcome and instruction is provided.

Dechen is an international organisation promoting the traditional practice and teachings of the Sakya and Karma Kagyu lineages of Tibetan Buddhism, founded by Lama Jampa Thaye, under the spiritual authority of Karma Thinley Rinpoche. Dechen London: Sakya Buddhist Centre is one of many Dechen centres, groups, shops and retreat centres throughout the UK and worldwide, offering a range of classes, courses and other activities.
