ART EXHIBITION The Intricacy of Things – postponed due to ill health

Unfortunately we have had to postpone this exhibition due to ill health. New dates will be posted when available. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

‘The Intricacy Of Things ‘ is a series of intimate paintings in oil on gessoed panels of wood, aluminium and copper which chart my voyage from taking refuge (setting out upon the Buddhist path) and all it manifests. It is a forensic investigation into the world of interior imagery through the process of an intelligent, scrutinising imagination melding together the worlds of the things we learn (tuition) and the truths we perceive through meditation (intuition). In particular, the work comes from contemplating impermanence, an understanding that all physical and mental events come into being and dissolve.

Through the bedrock of my practice of teachings from the Sakya tradition of Buddhism and the guidance of my teacher Lama Jampa Thaye, I as a professional dancer and visual artist have had the confidence to pursue and realise afresh the importance of humility in the creative process. Working from a foundation of meditation and imagination in conjunction with a multitude of things I care about has been a profound experience for me.

It is my sincere wish that this exhibition at Dechen London will bring benefit to you and many others.’
